Visit the charity’s website and select ACT from the drop down menu. All donations received in any Vinnies store in the Canberra/Goulburn Archdiocese will go to bushfire victims.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who have been deeply affected by the Tathra bushfires,” a spokeswoman said.
“We have received an overwhelming response in food donations which will be sufficient to serve the need of people affected by the bushfire. Vinnies Bega, supported by other Vinnies centres within the Canberra/Goulburn Archdioceses, has made available a large amount of quality clothing to the Tathra community.
“At this time, financial donations are the most effective way to quickly provide the right kind of assistance to people who need it most.
“You can also visit any Vinnies shop in the Canberra/Goulburn Archdiocese to make a financial donation. For a list of Vinnies shops accepting donations please visit the St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/VinniesACT/ .
“Vinnies is actively involved in local communities, helping people recover from a natural disaster in what will be a long and difficult process. Your gift to the Tathra Bushfire Appeal enables the St Vincent de Paul Society to support people struggling with the aftermath and the devastation caused by the recent fires.”
