In Australia, Easter is the longest public holiday we have before the winter months set in. We celebrate it, not only with church services, but with family gatherings, barbecues – and yes – lots of chocolate.
Dogs also love chocolate. It smells delicious, tastes even better and they have no idea how poisonous it can be for them!
So whilst all these goodies are around, please be extra careful that your family pooch is kept well away from any egg hunts. Any sort of chocolate can be deadly, and dogs’ noses are spectacularly good at finding even the smallest piece, anywhere.
If you want to give your dog an Easter treat, how about a long, brisk walk, and a succulent pigs ear while you enjoy your Easter egg.
Happy Easter from all of us at AWL Narooma Dog Training Club. More information: 0458 953 281
