Police are investigating an alleged negligent driving incident on the Princes Highway near Noggarula Creek, Bergalia. The incident is believed to have taken place at about 10.50am on Thursday, April 12 and involved a northbound driver crossing into the southbound lane and almost colliding with several vehicles. The incident was captured on a driver’s dashcam and reported to police. Investigations are ongoing.
Property damaged
At about 1.15am on Saturday, April 14 a 23-year-old Mogo man was arrested by police on the Princes Highway at Narooma following reports of a number of windows being damaged. Police said the man allegedly swore and abused officers before he was arrested and conveyed to Batemans Bay Police Station and charged with a number of offences.
Cars collide
At about 11am on Saturday, April 14 a three-car accident occurred on the Princes Highway at Narooma, near the ice creamery. Police said one vehicle had stopped while waiting for a vehicle in front to reverse parallel park. A third vehicle allegedly collided with the rear of the second vehicle, which then collided with the front vehicle. No-one was injured. One vehicle required towing.
Tools taken
Sometime between Monday, March 26 and Sunday, April 8 police allege unknown persons entered a residence on the Princes Highway at Cobargo where a number of small tools were stolen. Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact Cobargo police.
Wallet, cash stolen
Sometime between 8pm on Sunday, April 15 and 9am on Monday, April 16 police allege unknown persons entered a vehicle in Luck Street, Moruya and stole a wallet and cash. Police are urging any witnesses to contact Moruya police.
Steamroller break-in
Sometime between 5pm on Friday, April 13 and 7.30am on Monday, April 16 police allege unknown offenders broke into a steamroller at the Moruya Showground. It is alleged the offenders forced their way into the vehicle’s cabin and stole a fire extinguisher.
Preschool break-in
Sometime between 9am and 5pm on Sunday, April 15 police say unknown offenders gained access to a garden shed at a preschool on Albert Street, Moruya. The offenders allegedly stole two tricycles and a climbing frame. Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
