The quarry wharf area has been keeping the kids amused over the school holidays.
Many species such as leather jacket, luderick, bream, tailor and pinky snapper have all been caught on live yabbies and prawns.
Some whiting are still hanging around the bridge flats on a high tide. Atomic jerk minnows in muddy prawn colour have worked using a fast retrieve. Baits like worms and yabbies have also been working well.
Flathead are being caught just up from the hospital with soft plastics and Daiwa double clutch hard bodied lures working best.
Tuross River
Some nice estuary perch have been on the move down towards the front of the system and have been caught using grubtail soft plastics in the snags.
Flathead are being caught just up from the highway bridge on gulp soft plastics, 75mm Daiwa double clutch hardbodied lures and baits like prawns and blue bait.
The sand flats near the boat ramp down the front have been holding some nice bream and whiting with baits like beach worms and yabbies working best.
Rocks and Beaches
The break wall is fishing reasonable for both salmon and tailor using surf rigs and full pilchards. Bream and whiting have also been caught on North Heads beach on baits like prawns and worms.
The odd squid is being caught around the south Broulee area and a few nice size salmon have also been spun up off the rocks.
Pedro Point and Potato Point beaches have both been producing everything from bream and whiting through to salmon and tailor on baits like prawns, pillies and worms.
