Roads and Maritime Services will carry out the work, which involves upgrading the road surface on a 500-metre section of the existing highway south of Dignams Creek Road.
Work will start on Monday, June 25, and will be carried out between 7am and 6pm during the week and between 8am and 1pm on Saturdays. Work is expected to be completed by Friday July 6, weather permitting.
For the safety of workers and motorists, traffic will be reduced to one lane with a speed limit of 40 km/h in place throughout the work zone. Both lanes will be reopened to traffic outside of working hours.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and allow up to five minutes additional travel time, and follow the directions of signs and traffic controllers.
Further north, Eurobodalla Shire Council will begin work on a new roundabout on George Bass Drive at Tomakin on Monday, June 18.
The four-leg roundabout will replace the existing Tomakin Road and George Bass Drive intersection and provide a direct connection to Sunpatch Parade.
