The previous Southern Cricket Zone has been split up, with Shoalhaven, South Coast and Highlands joining up with Cricket Illawarra to form the new zone.
Far South Coast, Cooma Monaro, Goulburn/Crookwell, and ACT Cricket have been amalgamated to form the ACT Southern Districts Cricket Zone.
The structure and governance of the Greater Illawarra Cricket Zone is still being negotiated, and is expected to be finalised in time for the inaugural AGRM on Monday, July 23.
The formation of the new zone will result in chances to junior player development pathways, including academies and representative competitions.
The new zone logo has been released, and incorporates the logos of the four amalgamating associations.
