Bodalla Branch members prepared a sampling plate for entree, followed by a selection of soups for main, with a variety of Polish cakes for dessert.
Guest speaker on the day was Bodalla’s Anne-Marie Roberson who spoke about her family moving from Poland to Australia after the war so that her father could work on the Snowy Scheme.
Last year Mrs Roberson and her husband visited her family in Poland. She spoke fondly of the Polish peoples love of bright colours and of the food they loved to eat.
As has been the tradition for many years, Bodalla CWA were joined by students from Bodalla Public School who had prepared some projects about Poland and brought along some traditional Polish food.
They gave little talks about the country and raised some interesting facts about the country and also its relation to Mount Kosciusko.
During lunch diners enjoyed classical piano music by Chopin.
Bodalla Public School students were treated to a CWA afternoon tea and Bodalla CWA president, Colleen Constable thanked Bodalla Public School for their support over the years and presented the school with a donation towards their end of year excursion.
