A 21-year-old Bermagui man crashed his vehicle into Gypsy Rose Hair and Beauty on Sunday, July 8.

At 3.10am, Police said the man lost control of his grey duel cab Ford Ranger at the intersection of Main Street and Market Street.

“The male then got back into his car and drove away from the scene, heading back towards Tathra or Bermagui,” Chief Inspector Peter Volf said.

“The vehicle caught on fire on Sapphire Coast Drive, near Wallagoot Lake Road and was destroyed.”

Police spoke with the man and issued a number of infringement notices, the man was breath tested and alcohol was not a factor, Inspector Volf said.
