Fire crews fight blaze, Corunna

Rural Fire Service crews are confident they can contain a grass fire burning on the Old Highway, Corunna, south of Narooma.

About 14 RFS personnel were called to the scene at about 2.30pm on Wednesday, July 11.

They arrived to find a shed destroyed, minor damage to a residence and a power pole alight.

Fire and Rescue NSW crews were also sent to the scene and a Hazmat crew was requested.

An RFS spokesman said a power supply line to the house was down and Essential Energy had been asked for assistance to secure the scene.
