Quizzers rallied to the ‘fast and fun’ themed event, at Club Narooma on Friday night, where team Neighbours – Carol Hodges, Marie Small, July Vaca, Alan Redenbach, Margaret Hayward, Helen Stebbing and Amy Adcock – claimed first place. They donated their $100 winning to the cause.
Bluewater Dragons vice president Donna Anderson said of her dragon-boat team: “We are not always fast, but we do have lots of fun.” She thanked the Quota for hosting the event.
During the night, dragon-boat enthusiasts had fun creating ‘fast and fun’ squiggles; many beautiful dragons were drawn, with table four – John Steele, Jenny Troy, Amanda Doust, Allison Steele, Terry Troy, Wayne Mullavey, Judy Whiting and John Whiting – the winners.
The Quota Club also awarded a sportsmanship prize. Young quizzers Leeanne Corbett, Shannon Hall, Sarah Hall and Taylah Hall were the only team able to name skateboarding as the sport where ollies were performed. The winner of the Dalmeny IGA’s fruit and veg platter was Sue Fahey.
Quota’s next trivia night will support the Animal Welfare League, on November 16.
