He said it gave Ms Kotvojs a first-hand look at the shed facilities and operations; how we use the shed to accommodate not only men but a number of women attending the Montague Arts and Craft Society classes which are conducted at the premises.
Mr Sheehan said more than 250 locals enjoyed pursuing different arts, crafts and hobbies there: “More importantly, it provides a social gathering for the over 55s, getting together on a regular basis.”

Ms Kotvojs said the men’s shed was a “a great surprise”.
“To see the depth of activities being undertaken, and the way the site was being used by the local community on a six-days-per-week basis.”
Mr Sheehan said the federal candidate indicated to the men’s shed she would do everything possible to make sure it continued as a community asset into the future.
