Dalmeny Men
A fine holiday Monday with clear skies saw 40 bowlers enjoying the conditions with the first man’s boy Ken working the cards where the points system decided the winners on 231/2 points in Shark Finn, Cobber Dudley and the Macedonian Illya from the runners-up on 22 points in Hottie Smith, Bluey Ralph and gospeller Bob. Par Wain scored the resting toucher with his first bowl of the day but the $144 jackpot was not claimed. Our Wrong bias sinners included several by Ian Cocko and Ex.PM Neil and the raffle prizes went to Ralph, our visiting bowler, Slim Dusty and big John Oarley.
No bowls was held on Thursday due to the long awaited rain we so badly needed along with the rest of the country and not a tear was shed to help the “precipitation”.
Names down today for the “100-Up” event please as it’s been postponed for a week. Don’t forget that Friday night twilight bowls begins this week so names down by 4.45pm for a 5.30pm start.
