Narooma and District Lions Club along with the Narooma Rotary Club will be holding a club information day at the Rotary Markets at NATA Oval, Narooma on Sunday, October 28 between 8.30am and 1pm.
Narooma and District Lions Club president, Margaret Latimer said the purpose of the information day was to bring home to the local community the importance and contribution local clubs and organisations inject into the area.
“Our clubs do make a difference, we are the quiet achievers and would not be able to meet our objectives without the many hours of volunteering by our members.
“Sadly, many of our clubs and organisations in our community are experiencing a fall in membership and finding it difficult to recruit new members.
“Without new members we all experience difficultly meeting our objectives, projects and services which could lead to the community experiencing a shortfall in donations to worthy causes and services and maintaining our commitments and projects.
“Our clubs within this community are therefore inviting everyone to come down on Sunday, October 28 to NATA Oval and meet these wonderful volunteers and see what we do and the difference we make in the community.
“Our members experience friendship, common goals and pride in what we do and achieve, so why not join one of our clubs and enjoy what we do and achieve the satisfaction as all our members do.”
