She gave birth to seven healthy puppies on August 8 while in care.
“She has been a wonderful little mum, giving them a great start in life,” an AWL spokeswoman said.
“It will still be a little while before she’s weaned the pups and is ready to be de-sexed.
“Then she will need to find a new home and a new start to her life. She’s been in a family with preschool aged children and she loves them doting on her. She is house-trained, gentle and obedient, but she does have a history of escaping so she will need very secure fencing; Colourbond is preferred, because she can climb wire fencing.
“She mixes well with other dogs but keeps other dogs away from her puppies without attacking, just warning them off. She has also been with a variety of small pets and animals.
