Traditionally, the Narooma RSL sub-branch holds a commemorative service at the memorial at Club Narooma, where a minute’s silence is held at the 11^th hour, on the 11^th day of the 11^th month remembering all those affected by the first World War.

Sub-branch president Paul Naylor said the service would be held at the new memorial at Duesbury Beach, Kianga.

“The service that is officially starting at 10.30am is a special one and includes the official opening of Anzac Memorial Avenue, by Eurobodalla Shire Mayor, Liz Innes,” he said.

“Anzac Memorial Avenue runs for 3km along the Dalmeny Drive shared pathway, from Duesbury Beach to the Dalmeny Duck Ponds.

“There will also be the traditional Remembrance Day special commemorative service with the laying of wreaths and local school students joining with the Narooma Community Choir leading the singing of the National Anthem.

“Everyone is invited to the official opening of the new Anzac Memorial Avenue at 10.30am on Sunday.”
