A group of 13 candidates were put through basic training in first aid, communications and rescues before completing a run-swim-run to end their training day against a picture perfect backdrop of calm seas, whales, dolphins and clear skies.
These trainees will complete the rescue and Bronze Medallion course over the next few weeks and join patrol crews to help keep our beaches safe over the surf season

It was a beautiful tribute in a beautiful setting, reminding us all we have so much for which to be grateful.
