Good scoring was difficult for the field of 130 players with a resultant DSR of 74/73. In A Grade Chris Hewitt registered the best score of the day with 41 points off his handicap of 14, well ahead of Richard Goodridge on 37 points and Scott Ker on 36 points who edged out Robert Ackling on countback to take third place. B Grade was taken out by Roger Cheel with 40 points off his handicap of 16, one better than Richard Easton and three better than Peter Wilson. In C Grade George Matheson brought a smile to everybody's face with his victory after scoring 39 points off his handicap of 26. Alex Gardner headed Lyle Healey on countback with 38 points to take second place.
The nearest-the-pin winners were Brett Thompson on 3, Chris Hewitt on 9, Andrew Hitchins on 14 and Brendan Warby on 17, while the ball competition went down to 31 points with 16 on the way home.
SATURDAY 11th MAY
Strong winds made things very difficult for the 118 players in the second round of the Club Championships , as was reflected in the DSR of 74/73 and the fact that only two players bettered or equalled their handicap on the day. In A Grade Doug Morey finished with the best score of the day with 68 net off his handicap of10, well ahead of Brett Thompson on 73 net and Bill Hannam on 74 net who edged out Bill Anderson on countback to take third place. In B Grade Anton Galloway mastered the conditions to score 69 net off his handicap of 15, five better than Mark Falconer and Les Campbell on 74 net. In C Grade Steve Dobson finished with 74 net off his handicap of 24 to head Seamus Kelliher from Moruya by one shot and Alby Donnelly by two.
The nearest-the-pin winners were Allan Maddison on 3, Laurie Holmes on 9, Peter Ward on 14 and Jordan Lang on 17, while the ball competition went down to all on 79 net, the equivalent of 29 Stableford points.
Jordan Lang has emerged as the Club Champion for 2019 with 146, well ahead of Scott Ker on 160. In the A Grade net Brett Thompson headed Michael-Wuttke Hayes on countback with 147 net. B Grade was taken out by Anton Galloway with 176, followed by Scott Kennedy with 187, while Mark Falconer took the net with 147 ahead of Kevin Mitchell on 151. In C Grade Brian Brown finished on top with 201 ahead of Alby Donnelly on 204, while Steve Dobson won the net with 156 , two better than Frank Clarke on 158. The Professional's Trophy for the best net score in the championships was won by Anton Galloway with 146.

Men's Golf Results
Results for Thursday 9th May 2019 - Stableford. Stepping up for the A grade win today was Owen Reid (hcp 10) with 37 points. Runner up on 36 points was Derek Quinto (hcp 12) edging Denis Myers (hcp 12) with 35. Jim Manton (hcp 19) snared the B grade win with 38 points shading John Stichbury (hcp 19) on 37 and Rob Cattanach (hcp 16) who scored 36. Bruce Blair (hcp 31) had a welcome return to form with 38 points to win C grade. Michael McCann (hcp 25) was runner up on 37 and Harry Cripps (hcp 24) third with 36.
Results for Saturday 11th May 2019 - Stroke. The A grade win went to Tony Crome (hcp 13) scoring 74 shading Paul Revill (hcp 10) with net 75. Shane Buckley (hcp 18) continued his recent good form and survived a countback to win B grade shading Bill Tyson (hcp 21) who both returned with 75 net. Gerald Wright (hcp 22) had the C grade win carding net 75 shading Peter Schmidt (hcp 28) on 76 net. Lowest off the stick was Henry Loth with 81. An Eagle was landed today on the par 5 sixteenth hole by Jarra McKay-Collins.
This was also the 3rd and final round of our Club Championships and the results are: 2019 Club Champion - Henry Loth. A grade gross - Owen Reid. A grade net - Derek Quinto. B grade gross - Shane Buckley. B grade net - Greg Maloney. C grade gross - Gerald Wright. C grade net - Arnold Watson.

Narooma Ladies Golf
On Monday 6th May 26 Ladies played a Stableford Competition over 2 Divisions. The Division 1 Winner was Trace Mitchell (10) with 36 points and Runner Up with 33 points ocb was Chris Mathews (24). The Division 2 Winner was Di Williamson (26) with 34 points and Runner Up was Lyn McDonald (39) with 30 points ocb. The NTP Winners were Julie Whyte on 3rd Hole, Pam Shepherd on 9th Hole and Tina Wilson on 17th Hole. Balls went down to 30 points ocb.
On Wednesday 8th May 32 Ladies played a NSW Bowl/4BBB Stableford Competition over 2 Divisions. The Winners in Division 1 (Handicap Range 0 to 26.5) were Tina Wilson and Maureen Casswell with 39 points. The Division 2 Winners (Handicap Range 27 +) were Chris Hendra and Bec Smart with 47 points. Chris and Bec will represent Narooma Golf Club in the NSW Bowl Competition later in the year. Balls went down to 38 points ocb.

On Wednesday 8th May the ladies played a Single Stableford competition. With the winner being the 'in form' Cherie Rudneski hcp 21 scoring 37 points. Runner up with 32 points was Trish Byrne hcp 21 on count back from Lynn Ponsford hcp 15. NTP's 6th C. Rudneski 11th M. Hayes. Saturday 4th May Single Stableford Winner was Sharon Wilder hcp 33 with 35 points the runner up was Irene Putaansuu hcp 33 with 31 points.

Tuross Head
Tuross Head Country Club men's golf championships. Tuross Head Country Club men's golf completed the final round of the 54-hole championship competition last Saturday and Leigh Coloe emerged as the overall club champion with excellent scores of 74, 71 and 74 strokes over the three rounds.
Club course curator Tim Watson filled second scratch placing with a score of 240 strokes. The net A grade winner, with a score of 211, was Shannon Maz. The hotly competitive competition for the Ernie Graham Shield, awarded for the best net score over the three grades, was won by Frank Pomfret with 261 strokes.
The awards in B grade were won Richard Kelly with 272 and Reginald Apps score of 221 resulted in a win for him in the handicap division. Peter Johnston was the best of the C grade players and his score of 280 saw him awarded the honour in this division.
Steve Johnston won the net handicap section with 214 strokes. Nearest the pins were won by: A grade golfers Peter Nikolic on the 4th hole with 3.4m. Mitchell Smith was closest on the 6th with 0.93 m and Tim Watson was best on the 7th with 10.02m. B grade player Bruce Handley's 1.19 m was the closest on the 4th hole. Peter Garn was awarded the 6th with 2.77 m and Tony Brown the 7th with 12.41m. Chris Cox was the closest for C grade golfers with 3.0 m on the 4th hole and Steve Johnston closest on the 6th with 3.28m.
The longest drive competition was won by Leigh Coloe in A grade division, Jim Wade won B grade and Peter Johnston C grade. Thursday's medley stableford competition was won by Ian Kingston with 39 points ahead of Ian McManus 37, Steve Johnston 36 and Trevor Jones 35.
