Animals in the Wild
Bodalla, June 8-9
The annual Animals in the Wild Photographic Exhibition is on again, celebrating six years of encouraging people to "shoot with a camera, not a gun". The wonderful diversity and natural beauty of our Australian animals are showcased in a collection of different categories. This year photographers set out to capture an image that best shows the beauty and diversity of our precious native forests. You can be entranced by birds, animals, forests and fungi at Gallery Bodalla over the June long weekend. The exhibition is a joint venture between The Eurobodalla Greens, SAFE ( Stop Arms Fairs in Eurobodalla) and NSW Greens leader David Shoebridge. Mr Shoebridge will open the exhibition and announce winners on Saturday.
Tathra Enduro
Tathra, June 8-9
Officials are encouraging everyone to "grab your family and friends and go coastal" for the single-track showcase rides at Tathra. Last year about 400 riders took part across the events with ride distances to suit people of all ages and abilities. Organisers said the weekend is the perfect mix of sun, surf and single-track. There will be the shorter "lap-it-up" 5, 10, 15 and 20km events for those who want to enjoy a bit more time at the beach. Or there is the 25km Sunday ride with a noon start if you want to sleep in. Those with a serious bike bent and a love of single track can test their endurance over the King Nelba 75km or Mitas 50km - with a post event surf session.
