Police say a Victorian registered blue Ford ute was stolen from a Dalmeny address sometime between 2am and 7am on Sunday, September 8.
The ute was subsequently found crashed and abandoned in the vicinity of Duesburys Road at 4pm on the same day. The vehicle had sustained a considerable amount of damage.
Rubbish dump
Police have identified a possible offender after a large amount of rubbish was dumped on Tathra-Bermagui Road on Monday, September 9.
Police say staff from Bega Valley Shire Council reported the rubbish, which took several hours to clean up.
The matter was subsequently reported to police, who identified a possible offender but are yet to speak to them.

Unlawful entry
Police inquires are continuing after unknown persons illegally entered a building in Coolagolite sometime between Monday, August 26, and Thursday, August 29.
Police say the offenders disturbed a number of items in the premises, and caused damage to an unregistered motor vehicle on the property.
