Heather Ferguson invited the Dalmeny Narooma Bushwalkers for a walk around her Paradise Point property which borders the Wagonga Inlet. Even though we have done this before, the property is for sale for the first time in over 40 years, so it could be the last time we walk this area.

A large turn-up (19 in total) took up this opportunity. We started the walk not far away from the estuary and walked uphill, around the boundary of the property through a beautiful spotted gum forest and around a small creek running into Freshwater Bay.
Morning tea was taken at Heather's home and then the group split into two, one group going down to the bay and strolling around the Inlet and the other going up a steep incline to a prominent rocky knoll. Here beautiful views were enjoyed looking eastward to Narooma and the ocean, westward up the estuary and over the rainforest canopy down by the estuary. Small flowering orchids were observed on the rocks struggling to hang on in the dry conditions.
We then walked down to the rainforest through some very large eucalypts and rainforest trees shading the ground, quite unique in this area and made our way back around the foreshore to the jetty in the Bay. Heather was thanked by the group for a very enjoyable 7km walk.
