Instruction on the outline of the game, rules and mallet use was given by Club Captain Christine Stent.
The trainees then teamed up with regular players (Pearl, Sally, Jean, Len, Fay and Louise) in a format of trial games of golf croquet. Assessment points were awarded to the trainees based on the number of hoops scored.
Ginni Wallans was judged best newcomer with 10 points, Charles Demajo was second on 8 points, equal third were Tim O'Connor and Jan Morrison on 7 points, and Tony Morrison was fourth on 6 points.
The activities ended with Christine Stent providing instruction on the technicalities in stroke play of association croquet. All had a very enjoyable and fun time, with Christine Stent being thanked for organising and managing the event, plus providing the instructions.
