If only your dog could speak ...

But not all of my canine friends are so fortunate. In the excitement of the festive season, some humans seem to forget to make arrangements for us, their companion dog. Can you believe that?
After all the house guarding and hours of fun and entertainment that my mates and I provide throughout the year ... and us with the reputation as 'mans best friend'. But yes, it does happen - humans are a pretty busy lot. Now is the time to remind them that there are plenty of holiday places that welcome dogs. Woof!
Sometimes our owners appear to want a holiday from us ... weird hey! But what they don't realise is, we can also enjoy a holiday apart from them. I just love it when my owners book me into the doggie hotel, aka the local kennel. I make new friends there and often I catch up with canine buddies who holiday there regularly.
New humans play with me, walk me, feed me and even bath me. Apart from that bathing bit (yuk!), I have a great time. And I don't have to entertain anyone like I do at home, so I get a rest too. Now is the time to remind your owners to book a spot for you in your favourite doggie hotel. So start nudging and smooching up to your owners, especially when those pesky suitcases make an appearance. Sure as bones are delicious, your owners are planning a holiday. Woof!
