At the Christmas lunch on December 13, Mary Conley was surprised to be named branch patron and receive her badge of honour from president Louise Starkie.
Mary has been a long-serving member in many positions, a handicraft and drama group participant and great supporter.
Chevi Draven of Casey's Café drew the Christmas raffle winners under the auspice of treasurer Margaret Doyle.
Hamper winners were 1st Anna Penton, 2nd Martin Doyle, 3rd Fay Karl and Narelle Davis took the Narooma Golf Club voucher. The branch thanks Woolies, IGA Dalmeny and Narooma for hamper items and Narooma Mitre 10 for containers.
The support of ticket buyers and donations of members at the lunch has meant a donation of $1000 will be made to the CWA Disaster Relief fund. Every cent from this will reach those in need, whether drought or fire/flood affected.
Individuals can make tax deductible donations to this fund, knowing every cent goes where needed as there are no handling fees. Check CWA of NSW site for information.
Hoping for growth in Narooma CWA in 2020. All welcome. For information phone Louise Starkie on 4476 5131 or email cwa.narooma@gmail,com.
