NSW RFS said during the season, there were 11,400 bush and grass fires, 5.5 million hectares burnt, 2448 homes destroyed and 14,481 homes saved.
The lives of 25 people were tragically lost, including three RFS firefighters and three US Aviation firefighters.
The Eurobodalla Shire lost nearly one fifth of the total homes lost in NSW, with 501 destroyed. 274 were damaged and 1716 saved.
Many aspects of recovery are still ongoing in the shire, including clearing rubble, rebuilding homes, and dealing with the emotional trauma.
"We will never forget their sacrifice," NSW RFS said.
"And to all those who answered the call in the service of our community this season, it will never be forgotten."
