As of Monday afternoon, a Southern NSW Local Health District spokesperson said across the district 50 cases were no longer under "active surveillance".
Earlier that day, it had been announced there had been 54 confirmed diagnoses of the coronavirus in the district.
The LHD spokesperson said a "recovered case" referred to anyone confirmed to have COVID-19, but who was no longer under active surveillance by the public health unit, in either a hospital or in the community.
"This includes someone who been diagnosed with COVID-19 and has now completed the required period of self-isolation, or someone who has previously been diagnosed with COVID-19 who no longer has the virus," they said.
"A prior false positive test is categorised as a negative case, and is not included as a recovered case."
The LHD publicly announced the first confirmed cases of the coronavirus in the district about a month ago on March 22, with six identified at that time.
Every confirmed case in the district as well as their close contacts were advised by the health service to self-isolate for 14 days from when they were last with the confirmed case.
At the last count there were nine confirmed cases in the Bega Valley and 10 in the Eurobodalla.

Of the nine cases in the Bega Valley, eight were in the 2548 postcode that covers Merimbula, Berrambool and Tura Beach with just one case in the 2550 postcode that covers a very broad area including Bega.
In the Eurobodalla, six of the confirmed cases were in the Batemans Bay postcode area, two in the Moruya area and two in the Narooma area.
In related news, on Monday a LHD spokesperson said the Goulburn Mulwaree Local Government Area has been identified as an area for further testing as there has been a case of community transmission of unknown origin.
As a result Goulburn Base Hospital's Assessment Centre will be open this coming Sunday.
"While some areas identified have very few confirmed cases of COVID-19 where the source of infection has not been found, NSW Health considers these areas to be at elevated risk of community transmission," the LHD spokesperson said.
"When surveillance has found a reduction in such cases, the area will be removed from the list.
"Anyone who is feeling unwell, especially with a fever, cough respiratory or breathing issues, should seek COVID-19 testing."
Southern NSW LHD COVID-19 assessment centres are open daily/six days across the region.
In addition Goulburn will extend its opening sessions to seven days noon-5pm.
