In A Grade Neil Towers continued his good run of form in posting 41 points off his handicap of 10, although he needed a favorable countback to edge out Bob Piper to take the premier position. Robert Sayers finished third with 39 points.
In B Grade Wayne Houston bounced back to form with the best score of the day in 42 points off his handicap of 14. Ray Hille took second place with 39 points while Chris Eardley headed Darrin Stollznow and Frank Jakubowski on countback with 38 points to take third place.
Rod Holman took out C Grade with 38 points off his handicap of 21, with Geoff Broadfoot taking second place with 37 points on countback from John Hasler. The ball competition went down to all on 31 points.
An excellent field of 165 players took part in a Split 4 Team Stableford on Saturday. The winners were Jennifer Walker, Mandy Hall, Margaret Brown and Diana Williamson with 114 points, eight more than the runners-up, Callum Annand, Henry George, Rodney Smith and Ben Smith on 106 points. Also on the same score in third place were Derek Smith, Robert Brown, Michael Harris and Geoff Broadfoot.
The individual played in conjunction was won by Janice Eardley with 40 points off her handicap of 27 on countback from Bruce Day with Neil Towers in third position on 39 points. The ball competition went down to all on 33 points. RGI
