Wildflowers are emerging through the burnt ground

Mummaga-Brou Lake Circuit: This first walk led by Maggie Finch with 19 walkers enjoyed a windy but sunny spring day in a much favoured location. They commenced at the Dalmeny bridge and continued around the eastern and northern shore of Mummaga Lake, north through the bush and some old tracks to Brou Lake and its recently open entrance. Then south along the tracks close to the shore and lunch at the last rocks before ending back at the bridge. Spring wildflowers are emerging through the recently burnt ground and the Brou Lake entrance is broad and spectacular. The second walk on Saturday led by Michael McDonagh was concentrated in the area north of Potato Point. Ten walked up the beach, along the road, to south Tuross Beach. They continued on bush trails behind Blackfellows Point camping area, having lunch at the beautiful Piccaninny Beach and then back to Potato Point. Maggie thanked Michael for an enjoyable 9km walk.
