Fishing, footy and tradition were part of a fun community day to celebrate the culture and achievements of Indigenous people at Batehaven on Friday, November 13.

Katungal Aboriginal Community and Medical Services, Campbell Page and Eurobodalla Shire Police teamed up to host the NAIDOC Week event.
Events on the day included a fishing competition, traditional Indigenous dancing and a touch football game between police and a local Koori team.
PCYC's Senior Constable Greg Curry said more than 250 people were registered and it was a great day enjoyed by everyone.
He said Rod Slockee played the didgeridoo and Athol Calaghan gave the Welcome to Country.
Jordan Nye and Michael Withers were part of the traditional dancing performance.
Playing touch footy included Albert Murray, of Campbell Page, the "infamous/touch legend referee" Ray Smith, and last-minute recruitment for the cops' side, Charles Nye.
Katungul staff member and musician Darren Leonard, ("also known as Wee Waa") played the guitar and sang some classic hits to the crowd throughout the day with Shane Chatfield.
Fletch Dion won the fishing competition and received a $750 first prize.
Fisheries officers helped run the comp on the day.
