Aidan travelled to Wagga Wagga recently to contest the opening round of the Southern Star series over two days.
The Sapphire Coast Kart Club racer dominated the competition to secure a finish at the top of the podium in all four heats and the final to clean sweep his class.
"Aidan is 12 and has just stepped out of the cadet class into his new junior class this year," proud mum Nicole said.
"He has his sights on completing all five rounds of the Southern Star Series as well as taking on the challenge of racing at State and National level this year also," she said.
He enjoyed some good racing at the opening round of races in Canberra recently, picking up a podium finish in his new class and will look to build from his previous success of being named the ACT champion in the Cadet series.
In 2019, Aidan secured the coveted Blue Plate at Canberra's Mark Weber circuit and is enjoying the transition to a higher class of racing.
"Aidan calls the Sapphire Coast Kart Club his home track and has been part of the club since he could race at age seven - He enjoys representing the club at other events," Nicole said.
Proud dad Chadd has a racing background himself and has backed his son's racing efforts as pit crew and engine builder for the Williams team.
Chadd operates an engine business dubbed Warped Race Engines and is thrilled to run them as the power plant for his son's kart alongside his other clients.
As Aidan continues to strive for racing goals he is seeking sponsors to support his efforts.
