It was great to see some of our regular teams, along with new teams competing in the trivia, and then using their artistic talents to create squiggles! The Trivia Tragics won the trivia night, as well as the squiggle!
The Trivia Tragics included Pauline Wilcock, Lynda Simpson, Clare Cork, Bronwyn Glyde, Gayle Allison, Mark Beaver and Sally James.
Just to show how supportive the Trivia Tragics have been, they brought along a clipping from the Narooma News over ten years ago - where they were of course the winners!
The raffle (prepared by IGA Dalmeny) was won by Anne Thornton.
Thanks to everyone who joined us on the night, with over $600 being raised. This money will be used on many of the community projects that Quota Club Narooma supports.
Quota looks forward to once again having regular trivia nights, with the next one planned for May.
Farewell Reverend Tim
Farewell wishes and blessings have been extended to Reverend Tim Narraway and his family over the past week or so. A Parish picnic and Pancake night held in Cobargo were special occasions allowing the Parish and the wider community to say thank you and farewell.
Tim has been incumbent in the Parish for a little over three years and in that time has reached out to the wider community in many ways, especially after the bushfires. Tim has surely amazed us, as he continued his busy role within the Parish; as Chaplain for both local and regional RFS; with Anglicare Disaster Relief (Far South Coast); and part- time (two days per week) Chaplain at Sapphire Coast Anglican College.
In addition, Tim was also appointed as Area Dean during the past year. Tim, wife Anne Marie and children Caitlin and Nathaniel will be moving to Narooma as Tim takes up his new position with the Anglican Parish of Bodalla/Narooma in March.
Reverend Martin Christensen has been appointed locum, taking up the four day per week position beginning 28 th February. We welcome Martin and his wife, Cath to the area part-time from Canberra. Martin will be a familiar face to many as he was also involved in disaster relief chaplaincy during 'Black Summer'.
Sculpture and Music
Navigate Arts and Four Winds Bermagui are pleased to present a schedule of free live music to accompany Sculpture Bermagui this March.
Renowned South Coast musicians including Katy Callghan, Stitch Duo, Corey Legge, The New Graces, Felicity Dowd, Melanie Horsnell, Anactoria, and Benji and the Salt Water Sound System - featuring Sam Martin, Robyn Martin and David Ross McDonald, are all included in the line-up.
"We are thrilled to work with Four Winds and Sculpture Bermagui to present this free outdoor music live program outside the surf club on the headland at Bermagui. We have an awesome line-up of local musicians - bring a picnic, wander through the sculpture exhibition and enjoy the free live music - a fabulous community day out," Louise Morris, Artistic Director of Navigate Arts said.
Sculpture Bermagui is being held from March 6-14 on the scenic Bermagui Headland, with a selection of smaller works indoors at the Bermagui Surf Life Saving Club. The live music is on March 7 from 12-4pm and March 13 from 12-4pm.
