Last week the Far South Coast Group held a Land Cookery and Handicraft Competition at Bermagui. Once again the Narooma Handicraft members did very well bringing home the trophy for eight items of branch members work. The trophy has seen the inside of CWA rooms Narooma quite often. Pauline Cotteril, Mary Conley, Marion Cullen and Sally James had items selected to go to State Competition in Bega during May.
While Narooma have great handicrafters, the cooks were unsuccessful. Handicraft meets Friday mornings from 10am - noon and always welcome those interested in learning something new or needing assistance.
Narooma branch is holding a Easter Sunday Garage sale if you have items for donation to assist in fundraising they could be dropped in to handicraft or on Tuesday afternoons to choir/ drama members from 1.30 -3.30pm. Heart Foundation Challenge
The Heart Foundation is calling for entries in the 2021 Active Australia Innovation Challenge, which will award up to 20 grants valued at $10,000 each for innovative community-based projects designed to get Aussies moving in the fourth annual Active Australia Innovation Challenge. Past winners include surf lessons for children with autism; a 'silent disco' for aged-care residents; and cultural dance classes for people with impaired vision. Entries are now open. Shortlisted applicants will have the chance to refine and pitch their projects before a panel of experts decides on up to 20 winners. They will each receive a grant of $10,000 to turn their project idea into a reality.

A solicitor from Shoalcoast Community Legal Centre will be at The Family Place, 4/24 Ford Street, Moruya on Thursday between between 9.30am and 2pm for people with legal outreach appointments.
