Did you know that being a volunteer for Vinnies is most rewarding. If you are new to the area or retired, looking for a new interest and wanting to meet new people, then volunteering at Vinnies Narooma is for you.
It is a regular commitment of a minimum of four hours at a time. Obviously, there is always wriggle room for taking time off for holidays or family commitments. There is a need for both men and women to work on the front counter, in the sorting areas and downstairs in the furniture section.
Vinnies Narooma also needs as part of this team, drivers willing to collect the donations from the bins in the surrounding suburbs. If you think you'd like to be part of the team, please come in and meet the manager at the Centre in Canty Street, in the council carpark.
Narooma Camera Club
Narooma Camera Club is holding an Easter Photography exhibition at Club Narooma over Easter. The exhibition opens on Good Friday, April 2 at 5pm to 9pm. On Saturday and Sunday it runs from 10am to 9pm. Entry is free.
"Our exhibition is about sharing our passion for photography. Our member's interests across the styles and subjects varies widely, almost as widely as our experience. This ranges from beginner to veteran and we all still work to develop our skills.
"We are all seeking to express something in the images we create. So, like music needs a listener, we need a viewer to complete our art."
Botanic Garden book sale
There is a book sale on Easter Saturday April 3 at the Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens (ERBG) Function room from 9am to 3:30pm. There will also be a mouth-watering selection of cakes and slices on the home-baked stall. This is a fundraising activity for the Garden and this year is replacing the traditional large scale Easter Fair and plant sale.
Donations of books can be made on Wednesday, March 31and Thursday, April 1. ERBG is closed on Good Friday, then open every day of the NSW school holidays.
