Stamps at Vinnies

The Narooma Vinnies Centre has had a stamp album donated that should whet the appetite of all serious collectors. For example, it has multiple halfpenny, one and two penny plus other denominations of NSW stamps displaying various designs. The other states are also represented - Victoria, WA, Queensland, SA and Tasmania. Included in the album are overseas stamps some of which are quite old. Rather than put a set price on the album. Vinnies Narooma is opening it up for interested offers. If you are interested, come in, have a look and put in an offer. Offers will close on May 21.

May we also put a request for winter menswear and blankets. They are so needed please.

Quota Club Narooma

Quota Trivia is on again. Get your team together for a night of fun, while you support the Narooma High School Cattle Show Team. This team does a lot of travelling to show their cattle and demonstrate their skills. Narooma High Show Team has become a strong competitor in these events. Of course their travel and related costs are considerable, so we are aiming to support this group of enthusiastic students.

Bring your general knowledge, along with your drawing skills to Club Narooma on Friday, May 21. For just $10 you will compete with Narooma's best, and enjoy a light supper. Be sure to book your table of eight with Jenny (0415 979 786) so you don't miss out. Smaller groups can still book in, but you may be asked to share a table.

The trivia starts at 7.30, so it's best to arrive at 7pm in the function room of Club Narooma. Quota are appreciative of Club Narooma and their staff, for their support of their many functions.

Narooma Kianga Dalmeny Garden Club

Narooma Kianga Dalmeny Garden Club meets in the Montague Room at Club Narooma on the second Wednesday of each month, starting at 1.30 pm.

The next meeting on Wednesday, May 12 is Pink Day, where we raise funds for the Moruya Hospital and the Cancer Foundation. The guest speaker on this occasion is Kath Smith from Moruya Hospital. Plant of the month is any pink flower. Wear something pink, and enjoy Devonshire Tea after the meeting.

After two cancellations due firstly to the bushfires, then due to COVID, we are finally able to travel to Nowra on Tuesday, May 11 for a much belated Christmas luncheon and musical entertainment.
