Council offices, libraries, and depots will close at 4.30pm on Thursday, April 14, and reopen on Wednesday morning after the Easter and Union Picnic Day break.
Meanwhile, general manager Dr Catherine Dale said the latest Covid-19 surge had impacted Council's workforce, like many other local businesses.
"Staff are being moved around to keep services open, and so far we're managing. Our staff are diligent, and we have good processes in place to keep people well and working," she said.
"While Covid has reduced the workforce, wet weather has increased our workload, and this is temporarily slowing down some service delivery."
Dr Dale said a fortnight of sunshine and light winds to dry things out would be ideal, allowing construction and parks teams to get to more permanent road repairs and catch up on mowing.
