The body of the Batemans Bay fisherman and skipper was found at Coila Lake, Tuross Head,
on Tuesday morning after torrential rain overnight.
Mr Barber is remembered as a great family man, friend and fisherman.
Tributes for the Escapade skipper have flowed from colleagues at the Innes Boatshed and from fishing friend Chris Paschalidis.
Steve and Ros Innes said he had “genuine humility, loyalty and kindness”.
Mr Paschalidis said he was a storyteller and “a true friend, always keen to help a mate”.
