FAR South Coast locals are being asked by a local removal company to dig deep to help the firefighters and victims of the terrible Blue Mountains fires.

Jo Reid from Bay Removals is supplying a shipping container and transport to take donated goods up to Storage King Penrith.
It's not just goods that are heading north as a group of Fire & Rescue NSW firefighters from Narooma joined a convoy of appliances and firefighters heading north on the Princes Highway this afternoon.
Those leaving Batemans Bay on Tuesday afternoon for the Blue Mountains included Bryan Merry, Jon Lodge, Linda Wilton and Johnno Dudley.
Meanwhile, items that are desperately needed are the following: sunscreen, lip balm, hand sanitizers, spray deodorant, insect repellant, first aid items ( no medications), toiletries (ladies items included), new underwear and socks, baby items (nappies , nappy disposal bags, wipes, food & formula), batteries (AA + AAA, Long life food & milk, bottled water, electrolyte drinks ( no energy drinks), muesli bars, snack size chocolates, snack size chips, Le snacks, Up & gos, Zip Lock bags, lollies and cans of soft drink.
At this stage they do not need clothes, shoes or furniture. That will come at a later date.
Donations can be delivered to the Bay Removals depot situated between Mogo and Moruya on the Princes Highway.
"From there I will box everything separately into items," Jo said.
"Once all donations are boxed we will then personally deliver them to the fire affected area. Please deliver between business hours 8:30 to 5:30 daily if you can't make this time please contact me to make arrangements! Thank you in advance - every little bit helps"
