THE Far South Coast Landcare Association recently supported the Bermagui Dunecare Group by supplying it with tools such as a mattock, spade, fork, claw and water containers.

Karen Joynes from Bermagui Dune Care said the tools were very much appreciated, as the group operates without direct funding.
"Our May meeting was at Cuttagee Headland, where we plan more revegetation work when Council has graded the track, and is the target of grant money we have applied for," Ms Joynes said.
"Dave Newell, the Southern Rivers Catchment Management Authority (SRCMA) Landcare and Community support officer, attended that meeting, and as a result we were given the extra tools to make weeding, planting and watering easier".
At their most recent working bee, the group spread bridal veil creeper rust, and weeded an area planted over the past three years near Barragoot Swamp.
The picture shows some members of the group with some new tools, standing near Eucalyptus botryoides and Melaleauca hypericafolia which are growing very well.
"We were pleased to see our other plantings of lilli pillies, banksias and blueberry ash also growing strongly when the kikuyu was weeded away," concluded Ms Joynes.
