The two previous years, Ange O’Brien and Bec Cavanagh, the wives of publican Paul and chef Scotty from the Raw Prawn Bistro, have gone for the full shave in support of Movember and to raise extra funds.
This year it was Scotty himself chose to pay the ultimate sacrifice but since there is not much head hair to lose, sorry Scotty, undergoing a full frontal torso wax courtesy of local beautician Ella Foat seemed much more extreme.
This waxing torture was filmed and shown on the big screen at the pub at the Movember fundraising night at the pub on Friday.
Also on Friday was a raffle of goods donated by good businesses and people of Narooma including an Xbox by Ken and Cheryl Shepherd, meats from Rapleys, items from Dalmeny newsagency, Jamo’s AutoPro, Ella Foat’s Nailesque and O’Brien’s.
The six mo brothers and all the donations meant more than $2000 was raised in the Mo Bar Flies effort.
Only question is what part of his hairy body is publican Paul O’Brien going to sacrifice next Movember?
