TWO drivers survived a head-on smash about 200 metres north of the Tuross River bridge on the Princes Highway at 3.30pm on Thursday.
A Victorian man was driving his 2013 Ford Falcon north when he allegedly saw an oncoming Hyundai drift into his lane on a gentle bend.
The vehicles collided sending the Falcon into the wire railing, the vehicles coming to rest 100 metres apart. Both drivers were treated for non-serious injuries.
Police fined a 76-year-old woman for Dalmeny for failing to keep left of the centreline.
Assault arrest
POLICE attended a disturbance on Lynch Street, Narooma at 10.50pm on Friday where a male resident in his 40s had been bashed. A 43-year-old neighbour was arrested and charged with assault.
Break-in theft
SOMEONE broke into a residence on Noble Parade, Dalmeny between 9am and 12noon on Friday stealing a purse and its contents including cash while the elderly resident was in the front garden. Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
High ranger
POLICE stopped a car on Dalmeny Drive at 10.10pm on Sunday due to erratic driving. A 49-year-old Dalmeny female driver failed a roadside breath test.
She recorded a reading of 0.185 back at the station, leading to charge of high range drink driving and a licence suspension.
Cannabis notices
POLICE issued a court notice for possessing prohibited drugs to a 60-year-old man who was found to have 37 grams of cannabis in his Willcocks Avenue, Narooma house last Tuesday evening.
A 57-year-old man meanwhile was issued with the same offence after police found 1 gram of cannabis and a water pipe at his residence on Chisholm Place, Narooma on the same evening.
Camera stolen
AN infrared wildlife sensing camera planted in the Barraga Bay area south of Bermagui by the Southern Rivers Catchment Management Authority to film potoroos was stolen sometime between November 20 and December 4. The authority and police would appreciate any information or the $700 device returned.
Stock theft
A 15-month-old Angus calf was stolen from a property at Wandella west of Cobargo sometime between December 7 and Saturday.
This follows the report of heifer also from Wandella in recent weeks and police have called in a specialist rural crimes officer.
Change thief
A JUVENILE has been identified in the case of coins stolen from a house on Umbarra Road, Wallaga Lake on Tuesday last week.
Cannabis finds
A 29-year-old man riding his bicycle on McMillan Road, Narooma at 10.25pm was given a cannabis caution after police found a small amount of cannabis he said was for personal use.
He was stopped because he had no helmet, no light and dark clothing.
Police meanwhile found cannabis-smoking paraphernalia in a car stopped in the Forsters Bay Road, Narooma area at 4.30pm last Tuesday.
Graffiti damage
SOMEONE used a yellow spray paint can to write graffiti on the medical clinic on Bunga Street, Bermagui overnight on Sunday causing $500 damage. Anyone who saw anything should call local police on 4476 2044 or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
Birdbath smashed
A BIRDBATH and statue in a garden on Bunga Street was reported damaged overnight on Saturday.
