POLICE in Narooma and Bermagui are again warning locals and visitors not to leave valuables inside vehicles and to secure vehicles after ongoing thefts.
Thieves lucked out when entering an unlocked car at the bowling club at Bodalla at 11am on Saturday and a case of Crown lager, a bottle of Wild Turkey, socket set and prescription drugs were among the item stolen.
An unlocked car at the Narooma Plaza shopping centre was entered at around 4pm on Sunday and again prescription pills were stolen.
Two unlocked cars parked on Dickinson Avenue, Bermagui were also targeted overnight on Friday. A GPS unit and a large amount of coins were taken from a Ford van, while a mobile phone and DVD player were taken from a Subaru.
House damaged
A HOUSE on Dickinson Avenue, Bermagui, where unsecured cars where burgled on Friday night, had two fly screens and a bedroom window damaged in an apparent break-in attempt sometime between 2pm Friday and 11am Friday.
Motorbike stolen
A YAMAHA YZ250 dirt bike stolen from an address on Murrah Street, Bermagui between December 12 and last Wednesday is still outstanding.
Drink drivers
A 20-year-old man was charged with mid-range drink driving after failing a breath test on Attunga Street, Dalmeny last Monday night.
A 36-year-old local man was charged with low-range drink driving after registering a reading just over the legal limit after being stopped for a random breath test at Kianga at 7.50pm on Wednesday.
Cannabis plants
POLICE attended a Dalmeny residence on Wednesday where they located three Cannabis plants being grown hydroponically and an amount of cannabis leaf. Investigations continue.
