MORE than 500 people gathered at the war memorial at Club Narooma for the ANZAC Day dawn service that began at 6am.

President of the Narooma RSL sub-branch, Paul Naylor presided over the ceremony, Father Tran led the prayers and the Narooma Community Choir led the singing of both the New Zealand and Australian National Anthems.

After the wreaths were laid at the memorial, Paul Naylor read the ode and the last post was played on bugle before two minutes silence was observed.
