It’s a rare occasion when the Narooma News features the same event on the front page two weeks running, but sometimes a story warrants the attention.

With numerous visits to “On the Edge of the Shelf” wood-fired ceramics festival at Corunna Farm, we’ve been mesmerised by the wood-fired kiln that potters from across the globe have constructed.
Last week we focussed on the building of this remarkable feature and this week we were fortunate to be involved with the firing of the kiln.
Everyone is welcome to wander on down to the festival site on Sunday morning when the wood-fired pottery creations will be available to purchase.
Turning on to Mystery Bay Road from the highway, take the first left down a dirt road to get to Corunna Farm.
It is areas like Corunna that are expected to be the first to get access to broadband according to NBN Co’s representatives who visited the south coast last week.
NBN Co plan to establish a fixed wireless facility to areas that currently have poor access to the internet before bringing optic fibre to the streets of towns.
Good news now for farmers and forest-dwellers although the promised speeds are nothing compared to what the town folk will receive.
