We all hope that the big Snowy Hydro SouthCare chopper never has to come for us, but it is great to know if we do ever need it, the rescue bird will come down from the sky to rescue us.

The helicopter service relies in part on donations, so if you have been approached or see a collection tin around town, throw in a couple of coins.
Talking about coins, make sure to support the Narooma High ice bucket challenge if approached this week. It is a great cause to help a great family and help fight the insidious condition that is motor neurone disease.
Well done to the Year 12s and the principal for taking the issue to heart and doing something.
Get out to your local fire brigade this Saturday between 10am and 2pm for the RFS Open Day, because like the rescue chopper, they could be coming to save you this summer and deserve every ounce of our support.
Finally, well done to our Narooma Devils first grade for getting into the grand final this weekend, and also to the girls’ tag team for winning its grand final last weekend.
Hopefully the Devils will be bringing back another trophy to town.
Speaking of trophies, I didn’t have anything to do with putting me, the Nut of the Year, on the back page – that was all Jeanne who does the sport pages each week – thanks Jeanne!
