Saturday is the Preliminary Championship and the musical rides; Freestyle, Pas de Deux and Quadrilles. This year FSCDA will introduce the inaugural Brian Mallyon Memorial People's Choice Award. Mr Mal was our beloved maestro after FSCDA introduced the Freestyle events in 2010. It is a fitting recognition of his contribution. So don't forget to vote on the day.
Saturday Night is the 2014 presentation night and Christmas party. The Christmas party is self-catered. So BYO picnic, there will be barbecue facilities available for those who wish to cook their own meat et cetera. If the chefs out there could bring along some desserts to share that would be lovely. The club will supply some basic nibbles and a few bottles of champers to get the ball rolling. There has been so much great support from a number of people this year we thought it would be nice to invest in the champagne for all (over 18 of course) instead of an individual club member of the year award.
Sunday is the preparatory (junior and open), novice, elementary and medium championships. There are the usual great prizes on offer including lucky entry prizes thanks to our wonderful sponsors.
The Champions presentation is at the end of each day. Riders are asked to attend the presentation in full riding attire. Those combinations lucky enough to receive the overall Champion on the day are asked to have their horses with them for sponsor photos.
There is a complimentary barbecue on Sunday for competitors, members and families.
Kim Gardner will once again host the fabulous VIP members, guests and sponsors marquee this year. Sponsors are invited to attend free of charge. Others wishing to book a seat are required to pay a $10 per day entry fee which entitles you to a seat, cheese and biscuits plus some refreshment of the bubbly kind. Pre-payment on the entry is required.
FSCDA are this year offering a limited membership from November 1 - February 28 for half the annual fee. This would be $25 for an adult riding member for those who would like to join us for the championships. Note: the usual qualifying criteria apply for the overall champion on the day.
To enter follow prompts on the website. Entries close Wednesday, November 19.
Spectator entry to the ground is free and everyone is welcome to attend.
