Tim Watson had a day out, shooting a par round which included an eagle on the 10th to give him an impressive 43 points. Allan Lee was hot on his heals with another good round from him shooting 41 points.
The ever-reliable Steve O’Shea was pushed into third on a countback with 41pts, ahead of Michael Allen on 40 points and a visitor from Capital golf course who found Tuross to his liking, Kye Parkes, shooting 39 points.
Near pins on the 4th/13th went to Ben Bamborough in A grade at 1.5m, Steve O’ Shea in B grade at 2.93m, and Rod Bowron C grade at 4.38m. On the 6th/15th it was Ian Lawson at 3.25m in the As, Bruce Martin at 1.95m in the Bs, and Peter Garn at 4.64m in C grade. On the 7th/16th it was Evan Jardine at 2.8m A grade, with B and C Grade, going to the club.
Nine-hole winner was Peter Garn with 19pts and in second place on a countback was Barry O’ Conner with 13pts.
We said goodbye to our manual scoreboard, which Roger Chappell has be looking after for many a year, making way for a new computerised system.
Balls went down to 32pts.
