“The whole focus for the talent quest is to create entertainment and for all performers to be encouraged in their craft and the art of performance,” quest organiser Merinda Antill said.

“The judges will be looking for how well prepared you are on the day, what is the first impression you create when you step onto the stage and have you prepared your act carefully in advance.

“The judges will be looking at the appearance of the contestants and how well they relate to the audience – what’s your ‘sparkle factor’?”

All contestants will receive a certificate of participation and written positive feedback from the three judges.

“All forms of the arts will be welcomed at this amazing event – although remember it is a family show and explicit language or inappropriate dress will unfortunately result in disqualification,” Merinda said.

Performances could include stand-up comics, magicians, singers, dramatic artists, dancers and of course musicians of every discipline.

There will be junior, student and open sections with first prize being $350 and a production of one song at Sanctuary Sound recording studio at Central Tilba, courtesy of sound technician and musician Richard Cooke.

Second prize is $200 and third prize is $100.
