The Japanese retailer said its new store in Sydney's North West at Parramatta spans more than 1000 square metres and comes as part of the brand's rapid expansion into the suburban market. It's Uniqlo's third store in the Sydney market, and its fifth in Australia. Shoichi Miyasaka, chief executive of Uniqlo Australia, said the group was "dedicated to making our products more accessible to all Australians, and our newest store opening is a display of our commitment to the local suburban Australian market".
