Les Waldock was elected president for another 12 months and members thanked him for his efforts over the past year.
John Scott was welcomed as junior vice president, with Lou Moore remaining as senior vice president.
Sue Waldock was voted by her peers as Club Person of the Year for all her tireless work organizing club functions.
Paul Ingamells decided that six years on the committee was enough, and we thanked him for all his hard work with the Canteen, Camp Quality and the kids fishing clinics. He shall be greatly missed on the committee.
Barry Wells must have trained his grandsons well, as the family cleaned up this year with Barry taking out the Senior Club Champion and the Men's Estuary, the boys, Samuel Tougher Wells taking out Junior Club Champ and Jack Tougher Wells Sub Junior Champ.
Well done to all of you, but lookout next year we will all be chasing you.
Gavin Mitchell has done well this year with both the Men's Blue Water and All Tackle. Well done Gavin, now you have to catch that marlin which we know you are working at.
Little Lana Wheat has been fishing hard this year and got a well-deserved monthly Junior Trophy.
Ladies Estuary was won by Debbie Harman and it was good to see you cleaning it yourself, well done!
Last but not least, the Club Fisherman of the Year was awarded to Peter Vaughan. Congratulations to all the winners.
Thanks go to June and Bill for the tasty food. A great night was had by all thanks to the people organizing and making it all happen.
It has been brought to my attention that a certain fisherman was quietly drifting off Tuross Head minding his own business, when a big whale surfaced behind his boat, hitting the motor and damaging the cowling.
The fuel line snapped, leaving him stranded.
Fortunately there were other boats nearby who towed him back to the Dalmeny ramp. So all boaters, be mindful of the big ones out there!
