The show features Berry vets Dr Anthony Bennett and Dr James Carroll.
In the Montague episode, vet practice offsider Bryden assists the volunteers with a survey of the breeding shearwaters on the island.

Bryden is filmed gently lifting the shearwater chicks out of their burrows and handing them over to the survey volunteers, who fill him on the remarkable long distance migration of these seabirds.
“It’s always great to have a little recognition for our hard-working volunteers on Montague Island,” said Cassandra Bendixsen, Discovery coordinator for Montague Island Nature Reserve Tours.
“The volunteers featured on the show have been working in conjunction with NPWS on the island annually for over 50 years. In fact, their involvement on the island even predates NPWS management,”
“Data from the annual shearwater survey assists scientists from all over the world.
“Recent data from past shearwater surveys was requested to support a research project at the University of Alaska, which is a pretty remarkable achievement for our hard working and knowledgeable volunteers all the way over here on the other side of the world!”
Meanwhile last week, Parliamentary Secretary for the Illawarra and South Coast and Member for Kiama, Gareth Ward announced funding assistance for locally produced television shows, including the Village Vets.
Screen NSW provided $30,000 from Production Finance Fund and $60,000 from Regional Filming Fund to the show, which involves 23 NSW jobs and NSW production spend of $2.7 million.
Closer to home, filming has just begun on Series 4 of River Cottage Australia featuring host Paul West on his Central Tilba farm.
