Mr Lloyd, 44, has been living with epilepsy for most of his life, ever since that first seizure on the rugby league field back when he was 18. He also attributes trauma or blows to the head he sustained while playing footy in Victoria and up at Nowra.
Now he wants to help spread the word and is keen to be a local ambassador for epilepsy awareness with ideas of talking to local school students and contacting state and federal members for additional funding.
He has just been appointed as a mentor for the South Coast as far up as Nowra and hopes this will allow him to follow up his dream of spreading the word.
“I would just like for their more recognition by the Federal Government and also just more awareness campaigns so people know about epilepsy and so something can be found to clear yourself of epilepsy,” Mr Lloyd said.
He wanted to thank all the business and individuals who had donated so far and he will be out and about raising more funds for the epilepsy cause.
